I went and visited his shop today and in all fairness his stuff looked pretty good for the price that he charges.  They are made in Asia and he has contracts with 4 different factories, the makers of Epiphone being one of them, he did tell me the others, all well known brands but I cannot remember who they were.

He did seem concerned about the quality of the guitars and it looks as if it has been addressed by the basic price going from £200 to £300.  He was fixing a neck on a les Paul custom which had been dropped and broke, the binding on it left a lot to be desired, I checked the binding on a couple of his and they were fine.

As he says on his web site he sets them up himself before they are sent out.And if you don't like it, send it back within 14 days.
